BALTIMORE -- Gary Sanchez worked a full count leading off the Yankees fifth Saturday at Oriole Park, then took a big swing at a 97-mph fastball that was high and inside.
Right away, the star catcher knew something wasn't right.
Yankees top pitching prospect will be in Los Angeles on Tuesday to be examined by a doctor who is known for performing Tommy John surgeries.
"The beginning of that swing, I felt a pull in the bicep," Sanchez said after a 5-4 Yankees loss to the Baltimore Orioles. "It felt kind of like when you pull a hamstring.
