Yankees Game Recap: McCann’s Bat Leads Yankees To Victory

Although it was frustrating to hear that Masahiro Tanaka will be out for a while with wrist tendinitis, Chase Whitley was called up for what was supposed to be a spot start. That spot is his for a while and Whitley was effective enough over five innings as the Yankees beat the Rays 4-2.

The Yankees jumped on Rays’ starter Jake Odorizzi. Jacoby Ellsbury singled, stole second and went to third when Rene Rivera‘s throw went into the outfield.
