Yankees game 75: Six home runs in shootout win

New York Yankees 9 – Houston Astros 6

Offense would be plentiful in today’s wild game.

In the first inning, Astros starter Brett Oberholtzer ran into trouble right away. Brett Gardner started the game with a double to right field. After the leadoff double, Oberholtzer struggled with the strike zone and home plate umpire Rob Drake when he walked Chris Young and Alex Rodriguez to load the bases. After Mark Teixeira popped out, Brian McCann cashed in.
