Yankees find a way to take care of business without their best

The Yankees beat another sub .500 team on Saturday, downing the Blue Jays, 11-6, but on a day the team celebrated the record-setting 1998 squad, it was hardly a test to see if they are ready to conquer October.

After racing to an eight-run lead after five innings, they saw ace Luis Severino get knocked out without recording an out in the sixth, a shaky early performance by the bullpen and continued issues with Greg Bird at first and Neil Walker in right.

To make matters worse, Austin Romine left the game in the fifth after getting drilled in the mask by a foul ball.
