Yankees fall to Nationals in 10, Ellsbury exits with knee injury

Jacoby Ellsbury exited Tuesday night’s game against the Nationals in the fourth inning due to a right knee injury, the Yankees announced.

Ellsbury appeared to hurt himself on a swing, but he stayed in to run and came around to score. After consulting with manager Joe Girardi and trained Steve Donahue, Ellsbury exited the game.

He was replaced by Carlos Beltran, who went to right field as Chris Young moved over to center.

Ellsbury is hitting .324 with 14 stolen bases.
