Yankees erupt for 11-run second in 21-5 rout of Rangers

YANKEES 21, RANGERS 5

ARLINGTON, Texas - The Yankees opted not to take batting practice in the 100-degree Texas heat Tuesday afternoon. They took plenty of it Tuesday night, however.

After Chris Capuano put them in a hole with an atrocious first inning, the Yankees' bats quickly took him off the hook, exploding for 11 runs in the second to seize control of the game.

By the time the lengthy affair was over, the Yankees had scored 21 unanswered runs en route to a 21-5 victory over the Rangers, taking the first two games of the four-game set at Globe Life Park to extend their winning streak to four.
