The Yankees did not give a qualifying offer to longtime infielder Didi Gregorius by Monday’s 4 p.m. ET deadline, The Post’s Joel Sherman reported.
By not giving him a $17.8 million offer, the Yankees made the 29-year-old shortstop a free agent without compensation attached if he were to sign elsewhere.
Gregorious missed the first nine weeks of last season after recovering from Tommy John surgery, and overall had a down season.
Teams can begin negotiating with free agents starting Tuesday at midnight.
