That meant the Yankees assaulted Twins pitching and the Twins’ bats were no match for the Yankees’ arms.
As a result, the Yankees trounced the Twins, 8-2, in Game 2 of the ALDS in front of a sold-out crowd of at Yankee Stadium. The victory sent the Yankees to Minneapolis with a 2-0 edge in the best-of-five affair that resumes Monday night with Game 3 at Target Field.
