The Yankees continue to shake up their coaching staff.
Josh Bard will not return as the team’s bench coach, and the Yankees will promote infield coach Carlos Mendoza to take over the position, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed. WFAN first reported the news. It’s unclear if Bard will remain with the organization.
Already the Yankees have fired pitching coach Larry Rothschild, replacing him with Matt Blake from the Indians. They’ve also added Tanner Swanson to be their catching and quality control coach.
