Yankees combine for 29 runs during two game sweep over the Red Sox in London

The first major league series ever to be played in Europe will be remembered as a total slugfest. The two rivals scored 50 runs and used 30 pitchers over the course of the two games which took a combined 9 hours and six minutes to play. The Bronx Bombers certainly lived up to their names as the Yankees offense themselves produced 32 hits during the series putting on a show for the English fans.

All-Star second basemen DJ Lemahieu continued to show why he’s a leading MVP candidate by going 7 for 12 during the two-game set with three doubles and seven RBI.
