Welcome to another weekend in which the Yankees celebrate — or monetize, depending on your point of view — their most recent dynasty.
In what is becoming as familiar — and popular — as everyone in Cheers crying out “Norm,” Michael Kay and John Sterling will again welcome back all the familiar faces from the last Yankees dynasty Sunday night, introduce the highlight greatest hits, conjure championship nostalgia.
Joe Torre’s No. 6 was retired in 2014, and Tino Martinez and Paul O’Neill got plaques. In 2015, Andy Pettitte, Jorge Posada and Bernie Williams all had their numbers retired.
