Earlier today the Yankees announced that they recalled right-handed relief pitcher Jake Barrett. As a corresponding move, Chance Adams was optioned back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
Barrett, 27, made two appearances for the Yankees earlier this season. He allowed a home run in 1.2 innings of work against the Twins on May 4, then got hung out to dry on May 8 against the Mariners.
