BALTIMORE — Last year there was so much buzz around Dellin Betances, Andrew Miller and Aroldis Chapman late in the game, a very weak group of relievers that worked before the trio was ignored.
Had the Yankees been able to discover arms better than Johnny Barbato, Nick Goody, James Pazos and Kirby Yates, they would have had a better chance of getting into the postseason.
None of those names are around this year, when after three games the arms in front of Betances and Chapman have been the best part of a Yankees’ pitching staff that has serious rotation issues.
