Yankees bring in Billy Bean, former gay player, to honor Orlando terrorist victims

NEW YORK Yankees manager Joe Girardi's routine for home games this season is promoting different charities by donning special t-shirts for his pre-game interviews.

His pick for Tuesday's game was one with a rainbow heart.

Before the Yankees open a nine-game homestand on Tuesday night with an interleague game against the Colorado Rockies, the teams will honor victims of the recent terrorist attack of an Orlando gay nightclub that killed 49 and injured 53.

"It's the deadliest shooting in United States history," Girardi said of the early morning June 12 attack.
