There was plenty of movement on the Yankees' roster before they faced the White Sox in the first game of their four-game set in Chicago on Monday.
The team activated Jacoby Ellsbury from the disabled list. Ellsbury had been out since June 3 after suffering a concussion when he crashed into a wall for a catch.
It also put Aaron Hicks on the disabled list. Hicks suffered an oblique strain on Sunday.
The Yankees brought back from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre utility man Rob Refsnyder and pitcher Ronald Herrera, too.
