Brett Gardner has been around the block a few times. Being that he’s a veteran outfielder who just played his 12th season with the New York Yankees, it’s safe to say Gardner has seen it all. He’s experienced an injury-plagued season, a Derek Jeter walk-off to end his career, as well as a World Series title.
As Gardner is entering postseason play for the eighth time in his career, he has time to reflect on his 2019 regular season. Ultimately, the 36-year-old believes this specific year uniquely trumps the rest.
