Yankees break the MLB consecutive game home run record

DJ LeMahieu’s leadoff home run in Tuesday night’s game against the Blue Jays broke the Rangers 17-year record of 27 straight. To add icing on the cake, Yankees slugger Aaron Judge followed by hitting his own long ball.

The record speaks volumes about the 2019 Yanks. When you have a dangerous team like this, big things happen.

We’re talking LeMahieu (which is funny considering fans weren’t happy that the Yanks signed him), Judge, Gary Sanchez, Giancarlo Stanton, Didi Gregorius, Luke Voit, Gleyber Torres, Aaron Hicks, Gio Urshela and now, Edwin Encarnación.

It shows how potent the lineup is as the team is 51-28, six games up in the ultra-competitive AL East.
