The Yankees have opened 2017 Spring Training with a 5-1 record. While the games don’t count and some guys have football like numbers on, they still show a glimpse into the future. There are a lot of new faces, like Chris Carter, Matt Holliday, and Clint Frazier, as well as some familiar ones like Greg Bird, Gary Sanchez, and Aaron Judge. Both the new and familiar faces seem to be doing something that the 2016 team could not; hit the ball for power.
