Yankees’ Aroldis Chapman survives champagne bottle catastrophe

Hangover avoided.

Aroldis Chapman said he is “feeling fine” a day after getting hit with a champagne bottle as the Yankees’ celebrated their ALDS-clinching win over the Twins on Monday night in Minnesota..

The closer is expected to have a full workout Wednesday, according to ESPN.

“I was just celebrating and everyone was jumping around,’’ Chapman said through an interpreter. “I got hit with a bottle, but it’s fine.”

Chapman wore a heavy white bandage on his left pitching hand following the incident.

The Yankees won’t play again until Saturday, when they’ll battle either the Astros in Houston or the Rays in The Bronx to begin the ALCS.
