Yankees are finally trusting Rob Refsnyder — at Ike Davis’ expense

For a second straight game, Rob Refsnyder was in the lineup at first base against a right-handed starting pitcher, leaving the lefty-swinging Ike Davis on the bench.

Joe Girardi said he’s liked what he’s seen from Refsnyder lately, even with righties on the mound.

“His at-bats have been good,” Girardi said before the Yankees faced Colorado on Wednesday in The Bronx. “I like the way that he’s playing and it’s why I’m sticking with him right now.”

Still, Refsnyder entered Wednesday with just a .647 OPS versus righties, but Davis hasn’t shown much since joining the Yankees last week.
