The New York Daily News reported Tuesday that Yankees' designated hitter Alex Rodriguez settled a lawsuit relating to the 2013 Biogenesis doping scandal that resulted in a season-long ban for the slugger.
The law firm of Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani sued Rodriguez in 2014 for unpaid legal bills totaling $380,000 relating to the case. The report says the two parties settled on November 9.
The News reported the settlement was done "amicably" but the firm declined to comment further.
A-Rod's initial punishment by Major League Baseball was a suspension of 211 games but that was eventually reduced to 162 games (a full season, 2014) thanks, it's said, to the defense of the firm in arbitration hearing.
