The Yankees have signed reliever Danny Farquhar to a minor-league deal, the Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed Monday.
Farquhar pitched for the White Sox in 2018, but incurred a brain hemorrhage during the season and collapsed in the dugout his last outing of the season, on April 20. The 31-year-old righty will be entering his eighth MLB season, having spent time with the Blue Jays, Mariners and Rays before joining Chicago in 2017.
He’ll have his work cut out for him to join an expensive and refreshed Yankees bullpen that added New York native Adam Ottavino to a core that includes Aroldis Chapman, Zach Britton, Dellin Betances, Chad Green and Jonathan Holder.
