Add Danny Espinosa to the Yankees’ infield mix as spring training nears.
The 30-year-old agreed to a minor league deal with the team Monday after splitting last season with the Angels, Mariners and Rays.
Espinosa figures to compete — for now, at least — with Jace Peterson, Ronald Torreyes and Tyler Wade for a utility role and could be used more regularly early in the season.
As The Post’s Joel Sherman noted over the weekend, while the Yankees view Gleyber Torres as a potential everyday player in 2018, they could preserve a year of control of their top prospect and delay free agency by a year if they wait until April 16 to put him on the major league roster.
