Scranton Wilkes-Barre outfielder Aaron Judge will be one of three International League representatives in the upcoming Triple-A Home Run Derby, along with former Yankees top prospect Jesus Montero and Chris Marrero of the Pawtucket Red Sox. They will compete against Kyle Jensen, Travis Taijeron, and another longtime Yankees farmhand in Rob Segedin.
Judge was named the International League’s Player of the Month for June after hitting .343/.477/.686 last month, while slugging nine home runs. As of Wednesday, he holds the International League lead with 16 longballs, so it’s no surprise to see him selected for the contest.
