NEW YORK -- What advice would Yankees skipper Aaron Boone's father give him before managing his first game in the Bronx?
"Advice?" Bob Boone said. "I don't know. Manager your ass off."
Then the elder Boone smiled.
"No, I stay out of his way," he said. "(Aaron) knows what he's doing."
The 70-year-old dad arrived at Yankee Stadium at about 2 p.m. Tuesday as his 45-year-old son's team was set to take on the Rays a couple hours later -- provided approaching rain didn't wash it out.
