Aaron Boone didn’t have a bad seat for Friday’s win over the Rockies, when he served a one-game suspension for his profanity-laced rant in the first game of Thursday’s doubleheader against the Rays.
The manager spent the game in the suite of team owner Hal Steinbrenner and watched the Yankees, with bench coach Josh Bard filling in for Boone, beat Colorado for their fourth straight win in The Bronx.
“I was up in Hal’s box, mostly just outside, so I had the TV and a pretty good bird’s-eye view of the game,’’ Boone said before Saturday’s matinee against the Rockies.
