Yankees' Aaron Boone ripped on Twitter after Red Sox disaster

BOSTON — It was, without question, the worst moment of the Yankees’ season.

Still, Aaron Boone stayed positive.

And Yankees fans weren’t having it.

On Twitter, fans tore into the rookie manager for not showing more emotion, more displeasure, more anything following a disastrous four-game sweep at the hands of the Red Sox at Fenway Park.

The nadir came with Thursday’s 5-4 defeat. It wasn’t just another loss. Instead, the Yankees lost in 10 innings and walk-off style. They handed closer Aroldis Chapman a three-run lead in the ninth inning, only to watch him melt down.
