The Yankees fell in heartbreaking fashion to the Astros in six games in the ALCS. Many say that the pitching is to blame, whereas the lack of hitting was equally unimpressive when the chips were down. In all reality, it was a combination of both, and the overexposure of the bullpen certainly didn’t help.
If the Yankees are looking to secure themselves a World Series championship for the first time in over 10 years, General Manager Brian Cashman will have to repeat what he has done over the past few seasons that has helped the Yankees succeed. He’ll need to continue to add depth to the roster.
