Even though spring training games are meaningless, you hope for some action to make them enjoyable as we wait for real baseball to return. Tonight didn’t provide much in the way of excitement, and most of it wasn’t good for the Yankees. They dropped the game to the Braves by a score of 3 — 1.
With the score tied at one in the seventh inning, the Braves got base hits from Preston Tucker and Charlie Culberson to put a runner in scoring position. Carlos Franco capitalized, hitting a ground ball out to right field to score Tucker.
