Time to untuck again?
In the wake up the Yankees’ trade involving Justin Wilson going to Detroit for two pitching prospects, Jon Heyman is reporting the Yankees are one of several teams to check in on reliever Rafael Soriano.
Soriano, 35, was of course a member of the Yankees from 2011-2012, saving 42 games in place of the injured Mariano Rivera in the 2012 season. Overall as a Yankee, Soriano went 4-4 with a 2.94 ERA along with 44 saves in 111 games.
Following his stint with New York, Soriano went on to Washington where he became the closer there for the better part of two seasons.
