NEW YORK -- Yankees manager Joe Girardi knows he looked silly making a pitching change with two outs in the ninth inning Thursday night.
His club was up eight runs and the Boston Red Sox had nobody on base, yet Girardi headed to the mound and pulled rookie right-hander Giovanny Gallegos, who had entered in the ninth, for closer Dellin Betances.
Manager Joe Girardi and GM Brian Cashman discuss options on how to deal with Masahiro Tanaka's massive struggles. Also, there's a surprising option that could be in Greg Bird's future.
