Tyler Clippard is 30 years old and in his ninth season in the majors.
He got to the postseason twice with the Nationals, once in 2012 and again last year.
And now he’s a Mets reliever.
In other words, he’s in a much different place as he heads into this Subway Series than he was during his first one — when he was a starting pitcher for the Yankees making his major league debut on May 20, 2007.
“Those two experiences are going to be worlds apart,” said Clippard, acquired in a July trade from Oakland.
