NEW YORK -- Yankees manager Aaron Boone and infield coach Carlos Mendoza noticed the same thing Saturday when rookie third baseman Miguel Andujar walked from the on-deck circle to the batter's box to hit with the bases loaded in the sixth inning.
Boone called it a "a little bit of swagger."
They didn't see this a couple weeks ago when Andujar was hitless in his first 12 at-bats following a first-weekend-of-the-season call-up from Triple-A.
It's been building hit by hit, and they've been coming in bunches lately for Andujar, a 23-year-old Dominican who has been one of the Yankees' best prospects for a few years.
