When Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout homered twice on Friday night in a 6-3 victory over the Houston Astros, he became the youngest player in history with 100 home runs and 100 stolen bases.
Trout, who has 104 steals, hit a two-run shot off Astros starter Roberto Hernandez for his 100th homer in the sixth. He also hit a three-run shot in the eighth against reliever Chad Qualls.
At 23 years and 251 days old, Trout, who is from Millville, N.J., became the youngest player in history to reach the feat — breaking the mark set by Alex Rodriguez (23 years, 309 days old).
