OAKLAND, Calif. — CC Sabathia didn’t see any sense in trying to change the Yankees’ minds about putting him on the disabled list Thursday with a Grade 2 strain of his left hamstring.
“That is hard to do around here,’’ said Sabathia, who was upbeat about the way his leg felt and said he understood the move was probably for the best.
“I think so, just to be safe,’’ said the veteran lefty, who was placed on the 10-day disabled list and will miss a minimum of two starts.
Sabathia was removed from Tuesday night’s game in Anaheim after the fourth inning, and his injury was diagnosed Wednesday.
