The Yankees opened a two-game series with the Washington Nationals on Tuesday. The series will end on Wednesday. Whether they actually play any games remains to be seen.
Tuesday's game was suspended after 5 1/2 innings when a line of severe thunderstorms swept through Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. At the time play was halted, the clubs were tied, 3-3.
The game is scheduled to resume Wednesday at 5:05 p.m. The regularly-scheduled game for Wednesday would start after completion of the rain-delayed game.
But don't bet on that happening.
More rain is in the forecast for Wednesday.
