For the second year in a row, the Yankees have advanced to the AL Wild Card Game. As of this posting (September 24th), the Bombers have yet to secure home field advantage, but they are expected to face the Athletics. It’s no secret that I am not a fan of the one-game playoff. I also know that I’m not the only one who feels this way. Many baseball fans have taken issue with the Wild Card Game since it became a thing in 2012. That leads me to this week’s FanPost Friday prompt:
Should the regular season be a few games shorter so that the Wild Card series could be best of three?
