As the Yankees’ winter agenda begins to take shape, the futures of Jacoby Ellsbury and Chase Headley are sure to receive plenty of scrutiny.
Ellsbury has three years and $68.4 million remaining on his contract, which has a full no-trade clause, but if he remains relegated to a bench role — as he was in this postseason — would he be willing to waive it?
And Headley, who was moved off third base in July and then off first base in August, may not have a regular role in 2018, either, the final season of his four-year, $52 million contract.
