NEW YORK -- Neil Walker delivered the hit with a runner in scoring position that the Yankees needed for most of the afternoon, dropping a single into center field that delivered their fourth walk-off victory of the season, a 7-6, 11-inning win over the Athletics on Saturday afternoon at Yankee Stadium.
Walker's knock off Chris Hatcher chased home Gary Sanchez with the winning run, two innings after Sanchez brushed Matt Olson's back with a tag on the back end of an inning-ending double play in the ninth. That play allowed the Yankees to survive Aroldis Chapman's three-walk inning without damage; Olson was initially ruled safe, but the call at home plate was challenged by the Yankees and overturned by review.
