MIAMI -- Federal prosecutors want a Miami judge to reduce by more than a year the prison sentence being served by the former owner of a clinic that supplied banned substances to baseball players including New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez.
A court document filed by prosecutors Wednesday asks that Anthony Bosch's imprisonment be reduced from four years to 32 months. The Miami U.S. attorney's office cites Bosch's extensive cooperation for the request, which amounts to about one-third off.
Bosch ran the now-closed Biogenesis of America clinic in Coral Gables, accepting thousands of dollars for banned substances used by Rodriguez and other players.
