NEW YORK -- The Yankees' 7-3, 14-inning loss to the Baltimore Orioles could have been a lot worse.
Before Orioles pinch-hitter Pedro Alvarez hit a tie-breaking grand slam off reliever Jonathan Holder, four players in the Yankees starting lineup were forced to leave the game due to injuries and illnesses.
In order, leaving early were left-hander CC Sabathia, third baseman Brandon Drury, second baseman Tyler Wade and catcher Gary Sanchez.
Also, closer Aroldis Chapman was checked on by a trainer while pitching in the ninth inning.
