Two Yankees prospects flashed a glimpse of the near future

CINCINNATI — The MLB Futures Game was an eye opening experience for Aaron Judge while Gary Sanchez, another Yankee prospect, believes he has finally turned the corner on becoming a more mature player.

Yes, Yankees prospects are beginning to blossom.

“That’s the most people I’ve ever played in front of in my whole life,’’ Judge said of the crowd of 43,661 at Great American Ball Park, where Judge’s U.S. team beat Sanchez’s World Team, 10-1.

He admitted to being nervous in his first at-bat, a strikeout, but he later singled in a run. On his infield single, Sanchez, a catcher, snuck behind him at first and tried to put the tag on him after an overthrow.
