And you thought the Yankees were overpaying for A-Rod's homers?
Well, apparently, WFAN will pay too much for a couple of homers in the radio booth -- play-by-play announcer John Sterling (and his embarrassingly silly home run calls) and his screeching partner Suzyn Waldman.
(Go ahead, commenters: Tell me how much you love these two.)
WFAN announced Friday morning that Sterling and Waldman agreed to multiyear deals to remain the radio voices of the Yankees.
Sterling, who is regularly mocked for his mistaken calls -- once last season, he commented for more than a minute about all of the "birds" on the field only to be told by Waldman, "That's paper, John" -- will call his 27th season with the Yankees and his 12th with Waldman.
