Twenty days. It took only 20 days into camp before the Yankees had an injury, with Zack Britton opting for surgery to remove a bone chip from his left elbow. I got curious: what is the longest the Yankees have gone without an IL-worthy injury? Can we top

Normally, I would try to list out all of the injuries. But I don’t want to bore you with a novel. Instead, I will summarize each month by showing the count of IL stints in each month:

One day in March stood out: March 28. That was the day the Yankees placed Aaron Hicks, Didi Gregorius, Ben Heller, Dellin Betances, and Luis Severino on the injured list.

The longest time between any of the IL stints that season: 22 days between Luke Voit being placed on the IL with an abdominal strain on July 2 and Gary Sanchez hitting the shelf on July 24 with a left groin strain.
