With spring training little more than a month away, Troy Tulowitzki is the Yankees’ starting shortstop — and that’s all that’s on his mind after signing up to play in The Bronx following his release from the Blue Jays last month.
“One thing throughout the whole process was that I wanted to remain a shortstop and I wanted to play with a contender,’’ Tulowitzki said on a conference call Monday. “Obviously, the Yankees fit both those needs. It was really a good match.”
Perhaps it is for now, but the future comes with some questions — like what happens if Manny Machado ends up signing with the Yankees?
