BRADENTON, Fla. — In three spring training games, Troy Tulowitzki is showing the Yankees everything they witnessed in a private workout this past offseason.
Tulowitzki doubled in the first inning and made an outstanding back-handed grab of Erik Gonzalez’ chopper in the hole in the second frame of Saturday’s 8-7 loss to the Pirates at LECOM Park, and turned it into an out with a strong and accurate throw.
In three games, Tulowitzki is 3-for-6 with two homers and four RBIs. And while there is a long way to go, Tulowitzki couldn’t have done anything more.
