Travis d’Arnaud expected to rejoin Mets Wednesday

The Mets offense will be getting a boost Wednesday whencatcher Travis d'Arnaud, who's been on the 15-day disabled list since April 20, rejoins the team.

The Mets announced Tuesday d’Arnaud, who saw a pitch break his right pinky, was playing on Tuesday for Triple-A Las Vegas and would take a red-eye to New York.

Terry Collins said he may not start him on Wednesday due to the late travel plans.

D'Arnaud's offensive slash line was .317/.356/.537 in the 11 games before the season. The last four games he played, he moved up from the No. 6 spot in the batting order to second - replacing injured David Wright - and hit .
