TORONTO — The Yankees knew their current road trip would make or break their season.
It’s pretty clear they’ve gotten their answer.
They lost a third straight game on Saturday — and were shut out for a third straight time, this one a 3-0 decision to the Blue Jays at Rogers Centre, courtesy of a three-run homer by Jose Bautista with two outs in the eighth off of Tyler Clippard.
It’s the first time since July 1975 that the Yankees haven’t scored in three consecutive games.
They haven’t scored since the ninth inning of Wednesday’s 11-5 victory over the Rays, when their wild-card dreams seemed to have been revived.
