This Day in Yankees History (May 5)

90 years ago

The Red Sox traded Red Ruffing to the Yankees for $50,000 and Cedric Durst. Ruffing would go on to play 15 season with New York, including six All-Star seasons and was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1967.
