This is the best the National League has to offer? The Los Angeles Dodgers? Consider us unimpressed.
The New York Yankees walked away from Los Angeles with a convincing series win over the Dodgers.
Along the way, the bombers roughed-up Cy Young candidates Hyun-Jin Ryu and Clayton Kershaw. The two aces combined to allow 10 earned runs, seven by Ryu and three by Kershaw.
The series easily could have ended in a sweep if not for one of the weirdest ninth innings I’ve ever seen.
Most importantly, the Yankees pitching staff proved that they are capable of shutting down good teams.
